- Introduction
With this document, the company SELK d.d. (hereinafter: SELK) provides information on the collection, processing and protection of personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable regulations. This notice applies to external partners, website visitors, visitors to official premises and employees of SELK.

- Purposes and legal bases for processing personal data
Business
SELK d.d. collects and processes personal data of its external partners (natural persons performing a registered activity and persons authorized to represent and communicate on behalf of a legal entity). Also, SELK d.d. collects and processes personal data of its employees, pupils and students. The aforementioned data are collected and processed exclusively for the purpose of performing the registered activity of SELK d.d. (production of electronic components).
For these purposes, basic identification data (name and surname) and official contact data (telephone number, e-mail address, etc.) are collected.
Data of employees, pupils and students are processed for the purpose of fulfilling the legal obligations of the employer, fulfilling the rights and obligations from the contract on the basis of which they are engaged, the Collective Agreement and other valid acts of the employer, as well as realizing the legitimate interests of the employer.
The legal basis for processing personal data is taking pre-contractual actions and exercising the rights and obligations from the contractual relationship.
The legal basis for processing data of employees, pupils and students are applicable laws, contractual obligations between the employee and the employer, the legitimate interest of the employer, and in exceptional cases, consent.
Personal data is stored within the time limits set by applicable laws, regulations and internal acts, assessments of legitimate interest (e.g.: Regulations on keeping records of employees, tax and accounting regulations, Regulations on office and archive operations, Instructions and rules for the work of guards, entrances/exits and security of the factory premises, Regulations on video surveillance, etc.)
Video surveillance of official premises
A video surveillance system is installed at the entrance and exit of SELK’s official premises. Data is collected in an official capacity when the respondents are employees of the Company, visitors and other persons who also come to the official premises of the Company in an official capacity. The processing of personal data, i.e. recording via video surveillance, is carried out to protect the Company’s employees and property. Video surveillance does not involve the processing of special categories of personal data or the collection of other sensitive information.
Video recordings are stored for 30 days.
Responding to inquiries and resolving complaints
Clients and all other persons can ask questions and obtain information about our products via publicly available e-mail addresses or in some similar manner. For the purposes of contact, the data contained in the inquiries and data on the e-mail address from which the inquiry was sent are collected.
Depending on the nature of the inquiry or request, the legal basis for data processing may be taking pre-contractual actions or fulfilling contractual and legal obligations in the field of consumer protection.
Personal data collected in this way are stored for 3 months.
Using official websites
For the purposes of the proper functioning of the website, the creation of statistical reports on visits, the analysis of website usage and marketing on websites managed by SELK d.d., cookies are used
When visiting the website, visitors are informed about the cookies used and are allowed to freely choose and select individual types of cookies.

- Recipient of personal data
In special situations, SELK d.d. will, upon request, provide the requested data to authorized public authorities, within the framework of investigations and other official actions (Ministry of the Interior, State Attorney’s Office, State Inspectorate, etc.).
- Place of personal data processing
SELK processes and stores personal data within the European Union.
In the event of a justified business need to transfer personal data to third countries, SELK will take mandatory protective measures defined by the General Data Protection Regulation.
- Processing of personal data of employees, pupils and students
The data of employees, pupils and students are processed for the purpose of fulfilling the employer’s legal obligations, fulfilling the rights and obligations under the contract on the basis of which they are engaged, the Collective Agreement and other valid acts of the employer, as well as achieving the legitimate interests of the employer.
The legal basis for processing the data of employees, pupils and students is the applicable laws, the contractual obligation between the employee and the employer, the legitimate interest of the employer, and in exceptional cases, consent.
The data is stored in computer programs and physical records and is kept for as long as prescribed by special regulations and internal acts of the employer (Regulations on office and archive operations, Assessment of legitimate interest for the protection of property and employees)
The data of employees, pupils and students is distributed internally within the company, to a limited number of persons who need it to perform their jobs, to state bodies and to data processors in order to achieve the purpose described in the first point of this document, all while respecting the prescribed protection measures.
Important: Personal data of employees, pupils and students are collected and processed exclusively for the purposes specified in the first point. Refusal to provide certain personal data may lead to the inability to fulfill the rights and obligations of pupils/students and the employer arising from applicable laws, employment contracts, the Collective Agreement and other internal acts of the employer.
- Recruitment and selection process
For the purposes of implementing the vacancy announcement, SELK collects data on candidates (name and surname, contact details, place of residence, and information on education, previous work and other information contained in the CV).
In this case, the legal basis for processing the personal data of candidates is the undertaking of pre-contractual work (concluding an employment contract) at the request of the respondent.
The data collected for these purposes will be kept until the end of the announcement, and for a maximum of 6 months.
Received open applications are kept by SELK for a maximum of 24 months, or until the interested candidate withdraws their consent.
- Rights of data subjects
Data subjects have the following rights in the processing of personal data:
Right to access, rectification and erasure (if the conditions are met

Right to object (to the controller and the Personal Data Protection Agency)
